Project Wayanaisi & Itiawki

The project that participated in this edition was based on an ancient legend about the Fuquene. The legend says that in this lagoon two lovers Wayanaisi and intiawki were drifting on a canoe. Wayanaisi was the princes of the Muzos, the tribe that inhabited this place. Fu, the protector god of this lagoon and their tribe had been profoundly in love with wayanaisi since she had turned into a woman and one day came to the shore for water and reflected on the water. As they drifted they came near a shore where water lilies grew, Intiawki took one to give it to her as symbol of his pure love towards her, in that precise moment, The god Fu, transformed into a golden catfish threw Wayanaisi off the canoe and dragged her towards the bottom of the lagoon, while she was sinking Intiawki grabbed the stem of the flower and tried to pull her out, when he took out the flower she had disappeared. From that day on Intiawki spent all the rest of his life collecting Water lilies wishing that on every flower he pulled out his beloved Wayanaisi would come out grabbing onto the flower.
